Mission
The Savvy Innovation Challenge inspires students, faculty, and music programs to dream boldly and design the future. We exist to spark big ideas and foster interdisciplinary creativity, giving teams the opportunity to imagine and launch transformative projects that connect music with other fields.
Whether or not your community wins the competition, every participant gains tools, training, and experiences that extend far beyond a single project. Through collaboration, mentorship, and visioning, players of our "Innovation GAME" grow their capacity to innovate, develop entrepreneurial mindsets, and carry forward the skills to lead meaningful change in their communities and careers.

The Savvy Innovation Challenge envisions a bold new future for music in higher education—one where programs and individuals experiment fearlessly, collaborate across boundaries, and spark ideas that move the entire field forward. Building on the momentum of two sold-out, industry-wide summits on 21st Century Music School Design spearheaded by our founder, we are creating a living laboratory where musicians, educators, and leaders prototype the future together, shaping a more relevant, connected, and transformative musical landscape.
